Mobilicom Limited (NASDAQ: MOB, MOBBW) announced the launch of SkyHopper Tactical, a wearable software-defined radio designed for tactical drone and autonomous operations. The product expands the company's communications portfolio for autonomous systems.

The SkyHopper Tactical follows Mobilicom's March 2026 introduction of SkyHopper MultiBand, according to the company's press release. The new platform was developed based on operational requirements identified by the U.S. Department of War and strategic customers to support drone and loitering munition mission scenarios.

"SkyHopper Tactical further expands Mobilicom's cybersecure autonomous systems portfolio and strengthens our positioning in tactical communications," said Oren Elkayam, founder and CEO of Mobilicom. The company expects initial operational evaluation deliveries during the third quarter of 2026.

The platform uses Mobilicom's existing SkyHopper networking architecture and ICE software suite, supporting point-to-point, multipoint, mesh, and relay topologies across distributed unmanned operations. The system is designed for tactical units operating in GPS-denied and congested electromagnetic environments.

SkyHopper Tactical provides multi-controller drone handoff between teams, relay-based range extension, and fleet operations involving multiple operators. The platform supports mesh networking and swarm operational requirements.

Mobilicom will showcase the product at XPONENTIAL 2026 and Loitering Munitions USA events for defense industry participants and Department of War representatives.

The company provides cybersecurity and communication solutions for drones and robotics, serving over 50 customers including drone manufacturers. Mobilicom is based in Palo Alto, California.
