Mineros names Daniel Henao as CEO, announces leadership changes

Mineros S.A. (TSX: MSA, OTCQX: MNSAF, BVC: MINEROS) announced the appointment of Daniel Henao as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, following David Londoño's resignation from those positions.



Henao brings experience across precious metals exploration, project evaluation, acquisitions, development, operations, and refining. He previously served on the company's Board of Directors before stepping down for his new role.



The Colombia-based gold mining company also announced that Chief Financial Officer David Splett will step down effective January 2, 2026. Sergio Chavarria, currently Finance Manager, will serve as Interim CFO. Chavarria has held senior finance roles with Mineros since 2018 and previously worked as Senior Audit Officer at Deloitte.



Mineros made three additional appointments reporting directly to the CEO. María Vallejo García was named Vice President of Growth and Business Development, effective immediately. She is a mining engineer and Professional Engineer in Ontario with experience at Vista Gold, Barrick Gold, and AngloGold Ashanti.



Carlos David Ríos Restrepo will become Vice President of Exploration effective December 1, 2025. The geological engineer is a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists and member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.



Marcela Castillo was appointed Vice President of Sustainability. She previously served as Sustainability Manager at Hemco – Mineros Nicaragua and was recognized on the global 100 Inspirational Women in Mining 2022 list.



Board members Andres Restrepo and Marco Izquierdo Llanos resigned as directors effective November 18, 2025.



The company stated that ownership structure adjustments over 2024 and 2025 prompted a reassessment of executive roles and strategic priorities, according to the press release.



Mineros operates mines in Colombia and Nicaragua with development and exploration projects throughout Latin America.
