Michael Kennedy named CEO of Antero Resources and Antero Midstream

Antero Resources Corporation (NYSE: AR) and Antero Midstream Corporation (NYSE: AM) announced that Michael N. Kennedy will serve as Chief Executive Officer and President of both companies, effective immediately. Kennedy will also join each company's Board of Directors.

The appointment follows Paul M. Rady's transition from CEO and President to Chairman Emeritus of both companies. Kennedy joined Antero in 2013 and has served as Chief Financial Officer of Antero Resources since 2021. He previously held the CFO position at Antero Midstream from 2016 to 2021.

Prior to Antero, Kennedy spent 12 years at Forest Oil Corporation, serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2009 to 2013. He began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen from 1996 to 2001, focusing on the natural resources industry.

The companies announced several organizational changes alongside Kennedy's promotion. Benjamin A. Hardesty, currently Lead Independent Director of Antero Resources, will serve as Chairman of the Board. David H. Keyte, Lead Independent Director of Antero Midstream, will become Chairman of Antero Midstream's board.

Brendan E. Krueger will be promoted to Chief Financial Officer of Antero Resources, while Justin J. Agnew will become Chief Financial Officer of Antero Midstream. Yvette K. Schultz, General Counsel of both companies since 2017, will join Antero Midstream's Board of Directors.

Antero Resources operates as an independent natural gas company in the Appalachian Basin in West Virginia and Ohio. Antero Midstream owns and operates midstream assets including gathering, compression, and processing facilities in the same region.
