Medallion Bank promotes Justin Haley to president, Travis Betenson to CFO

Medallion Bank (NASDAQ: MBNKO) announced the promotion of Justin Haley to president and Travis Betenson to senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective January 12, 2026.

Haley brings more than 30 years of experience in industrial, community and regional banking. He joined Medallion Bank in November 2011 as vice president of home improvement lending and was promoted to senior vice president and chief operating officer in 2015. In 2021, he became executive vice president and chief financial officer. Haley will continue reporting to Chief Executive Officer Donald Poulton.

Betenson joined the bank in January 2024 as vice president of finance and was promoted to senior vice president of finance later that year. He has more than 15 years of banking leadership experience, previously serving as chief financial officer for two Utah industrial banks, First Electronic Bank and Milestone Bank. Betenson will report to Haley.

"When Justin joined us in 2011, it was immediately clear that he possessed the knowledge, work ethic and leadership skills to one day serve as its President," said Poulton in a statement.

Medallion Bank is an FDIC-insured industrial bank that provides consumer loans for recreational vehicles, boats and home improvements, along with loan origination services to fintech partners. The Utah-chartered bank is headquartered in Salt Lake City and operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Medallion Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: MFIN).
