McDonald's launches DoorDash-powered online ordering in US

McDonald's USA (NYSE: MCD) and DoorDash (NASDAQ: DASH) launched a new online ordering platform that allows customers to order McDonald's delivery through McDonalds.com without downloading apps or creating accounts.

The service, accessible at mcdonalds.order.online, enables customers to order McDelivery via mobile web or desktop with orders fulfilled by DoorDash drivers. The platform offers checkout in fewer clicks with flexible payment options.

"We're making it easy for customers to order McDonald's wherever they are," said Shanna Prevé, VP of Enterprise Sales & Business Development at DoorDash. "This global partnership is powered by innovation - driving sales, simplifying operations, and elevating the customer experience."

Tim Snyder, Head of Delivery at McDonald's USA, stated that millions of customers visit McDonalds.com each month and the new channel extends the company's reach while offering convenient delivery options.

The launch represents an expansion of McDonald's and DoorDash's global partnership, which now supports McDelivery in 29 countries. DoorDash and its affiliated brand Wolt serve as delivery partners for McDonald's in the US and other markets including Canada, Germany, Australia, Finland, and Japan.

McDonald's USA operates approximately 13,500 restaurants in the United States, with 95% owned and operated by independent business owners, according to the press release.
