Lufax appoints Jianbo Cheng as chief risk officer

Lufax Holding Ltd (NYSE: LU, HKEX: 6623) announced that Youn Jeong Lim has resigned as chief risk officer due to personal work arrangements, effective immediately. The company appointed Jianbo Cheng to replace her as chief risk officer effective October 24, 2025.



Cheng, 43, joined Lufax in April 2025 as chief risk expert. He previously served as general manager of Pudao Credit Co., Ltd. from August 2021 to March 2025. From August 2014 to July 2021, he held various risk management positions at Jingdong Digits Technology Holding Co., Ltd. and served as vice president of JD.com Inc. (NASDAQ: JD, HKEX: 9618).



Prior to that role, Cheng worked from October 2004 to August 2014 at several financial institutions including Shenzhen Development Bank Co., Ltd., now known as Ping An Bank Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen Stock Exchange: 000001), HUA XIA BANK CO., Limited (Shanghai Stock Exchange: 600015), Fair Isaac Corporation, and Ant Financial Services Group in risk management and consulting roles.



Cheng holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Hubei University and a master's degree in business administration from Tsinghua University, which he completed in June 2024.



The board expressed appreciation for Lim's contributions during her tenure and welcomed Cheng to his new position. Lufax describes itself as a financial services enabler for small business owners in China, maintaining relationships with 85 financial institutions in the country.
