Kingstone Companies Inc. (NASDAQ: KINS) appointed Randy L. Patten as chief financial officer, effective August 25, 2025, according to a company statement.

Patten joins the Northeast regional property and casualty insurance holding company from NEXT Insurance Inc., where he served as vice president, chief accounting officer and treasurer. At NEXT Insurance, he participated in the company's $2.6 billion acquisition by ERGO Group AG, a subsidiary of MunichRe.

Prior to NEXT Insurance, Patten spent nearly a decade at United Fire Group Inc. He previously worked for 15 years at Transamerica Life Insurance Company/AEGON USA (NYSE: AEG) in various financial leadership positions.

Patten earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting and business management from Central College in Iowa.

As CFO, Patten will oversee Kingstone's finance organization, including GAAP and statutory accounting, financial planning and analysis, capital management, compliance, SEC filings coordination, tax, investor relations, investments and treasury functions.

"With his strong financial background, deep insurance industry knowledge, extensive prior experience as a public-company finance leader and robust understanding of capital raising and M&A matters, Mr. Patten will play a key role in providing strategic financial leadership," said Meryl Golden, president and CEO of Kingstone.

Kingstone's principal operating subsidiary is Kingstone Insurance Company, which writes personal lines and commercial auto insurance in New York and holds licenses in seven other northeastern states.
