Journey Medical Corporation (NASDAQ: DERM) reported that pharmacy benefit coverage for Emrosi, its rosacea treatment, now extends to 65% of the 187 million commercial lives in the United States, compared to 29% in May 2025.

Emrosi is a 40 mg Minocycline Hydrochloride Modified-Release Capsule containing 10 mg immediate release and 30 mg extended release components, approved for treating inflammatory lesions of rosacea in adults.

"We are extremely pleased with the ongoing adoption of Emrosi by commercial payers, which is being driven by our targeted contracting strategy, increasing prescription demand, and strong clinical data demonstrating superior efficacy of Emrosi over the current standard of care," said Claude Maraoui, Co-Founder, President, and CEO of Journey Medical Corporation.

The Scottsdale, Arizona-based company focuses on selling and marketing FDA-approved prescription pharmaceutical products for dermatological conditions. Emrosi is available by prescription at specialty pharmacy chains.

According to The National Rosacea Society, rosacea affects over 16 million Americans and as many as 415 million people worldwide. The chronic inflammatory skin condition commonly presents with facial redness, inflammatory lesions, and spider veins, typically affecting adults between 30 and 50 years of age.

The most common adverse reaction reported by patients treated with Emrosi was dyspepsia, occurring in at least 1% of subjects more frequently than those receiving placebo. The drug should not be taken by patients with a history of hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.

Journey Medical currently markets eight FDA-approved prescription drugs for treating skin conditions. The company was founded by Fortress Biotech, Inc. (NASDAQ: FBIO) and trades on the Nasdaq exchange.
