JetBlue Airways Corp. (NASDAQ: JBLU) and United Airlines Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: UAL) announced that customers can now book flights operated by either airline directly through JetBlue.com, United.com and their respective mobile applications as part of their Blue Sky collaboration.
The new booking capability allows travelers to purchase eligible itineraries using cash, points, or miles across both airlines' platforms. Customers can use TrueBlue points on JetBlue channels or MileagePlus miles on United channels for qualifying flights.
The airlines plan to add the ability to book single itineraries that include flights operated by both carriers in the future. The revenue booking feature follows the introduction of reciprocal loyalty earning and redemption between the airlines' programs in 2025.
"With cash bookings now available, Blue Sky is making it even easier for customers to plan and purchase travel across two leading networks," said Andrew Nocella, executive vice president and chief commercial officer at United.
JetBlue president Marty St. George said the collaboration expands choice and flexibility for customers when traveling, giving members more ability to earn and redeem points to destinations worldwide.
Additional features planned for the collaboration include reciprocal perks and benefits such as priority boarding and preferred seating arriving later this spring. United's MileagePlus Travel will transition to Paisly, LLC later in 2026, expanding booking capabilities for hotel and vacation packages.
The airlines also plan United's growth at John F. Kennedy International Airport, with JetBlue providing United access to slots for up to seven daily roundtrips at JFK's Terminal 6 as early as 2027.
JetBlue Vacations now includes United flights as part of Flight + Hotel packages, with cruise packages planned for future addition. Some select JetBlue routes are not eligible for booking through United.com or MileagePlus programs, according to the press release.
