Infleqtion names Dave Kresse VP of commercial solutions
Quantum computing company Infleqtion appointed Dave Kresse as vice president of commercial solutions, effective immediately, according to a company press release.
Kresse brings over 30 years of experience in technology business development and global team leadership. He joins from Amazon Web Services, where he spent three years managing strategic partnerships for the healthcare and life sciences business unit and leading global go-to-market operations for Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud and networking services.
The appointment comes as Infleqtion prepares to go public through a merger with Churchill Capital Corp X (NASDAQ: CCCX), announced in September. The Boulder, Colorado-based company develops quantum computers and sensing equipment using neutral-atom technology.
"As we expand our commercial focus in quantum computing and quantum sensing, Dave's experience identifying customer needs, envisioning solutions, and developing partnerships to deliver those solutions are critical to growing our business," said Matt Kinsella, CEO of Infleqtion.
Prior to AWS, Kresse served as vice president and general manager of the file storage business at Nutanix. He also held senior leadership roles at Nimble Storage, including responsibilities for product management, engineering, strategic alliances, and technical marketing. After Hewlett Packard Enterprise acquired Nimble, Kresse continued as vice president and general manager.
Kresse holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University and an MBA from the Wharton School. In his new role, he will lead commercial efforts targeting applications in artificial intelligence, energy, materials science, drug discovery, and advanced data centers.
Infleqtion's products include quantum computers, optical clocks, RF receivers, and inertial sensors. The company states its systems are used by the U.S. Department of Defense, NASA, and the U.K. government, with collaborations including partnerships with NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA).
