August 11, 2025 9:20 AM EDT

Ibotta Inc. (NYSE: IBTA) appointed Matt Puckett as chief financial officer, effective August 25, according to a company statement.

Puckett will oversee financial strategy, operations and investor relations at the digital promotions network company. He replaces Valarie Sheppard, who served as interim CFO since March 14 and will return to her role as lead independent director on the company's board.

Puckett most recently served as CFO of VF Corporation (NYSE: VFC), where he worked for 23 years in various finance roles. At the apparel and footwear company, he led global finance teams and managed investor relations, corporate finance, financial planning and mergers and acquisitions. He also held an international assignment in Switzerland overseeing finance operations across Europe and Asia.

Before joining VF Corporation, Puckett held finance leadership positions in the furniture industry. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Virginia at Wise.

"His deep expertise in all aspects of financial strategy and management, experience in operational execution, and proven track record of guiding innovative companies through periods of transformation will be invaluable," said Bryan Leach, Ibotta's founder and CEO.

The appointment comes after Ibotta launched performance marketing campaigns that allow consumer packaged goods clients to manage promotional spending based on measurable returns on investment. The company operates what it describes as the largest digital promotions network in North America, reaching over 200 million consumers.

Ibotta went public as Colorado's largest technology IPO and is headquartered in Denver. The company states that American shoppers have earned over $2.4 billion through its network since 2012.
