Cybersecurity company Horizon3.ai appointed Andres Botero as chief marketing officer to lead global marketing strategy and accelerate growth, according to a company statement.
Botero brings more than 20 years of executive experience, most recently serving as CMO at Rubrik, where he helped transform the company into a cyber resilience leader. During his tenure at Rubrik, the company doubled subscription annual recurring revenue to over $1 billion and completed an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker RBRK in April 2024.
Before Rubrik, Botero held executive roles at BlackLine (NASDAQ: BL), where revenue nearly tripled during his five-year tenure, and CallidusCloud (NASDAQ: CALD), which SAP acquired for $2.5 billion in 2018.
"Andres is a proven marketing executive with a track record of creating and leading new market categories, driving exponential growth, and building world-class teams," said Snehal Antani, CEO and co-founder of Horizon3.ai.
Horizon3.ai operates the NodeZero offensive security platform, which helps organizations identify and remediate exploitable vulnerabilities. The company recently received recognition as a customers' choice in Gartner Peer Insights' adversarial exposure validation report and ranked third on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list of fastest-growing technology companies in North America.
The appointment follows Horizon3.ai's $100 million Series D funding round led by NEA. The San Francisco-based company reports that 40% of Fortune 10 companies use its platform.
