Hitachi Solutions announced the appointment of Roger Lvin as chief executive officer and president, effective immediately. The company made the announcement from its Irvine, California office.

Lvin brings more than 20 years of experience in technology consulting and organizational transformation. He previously served as founding CEO of Hitachi Digital Services, where he established the business and led its strategy and growth in digital transformation and IT/OT convergence.

Before joining Hitachi, Lvin held senior leadership positions at Cognizant, including leading its Digital Operations business. The press release states he scaled that division into a multibillion-dollar global organization.

"Roger's leadership and growth mindset come at a pivotal moment in our evolution," said Soichiro Ohara, chairman of Hitachi Solutions. "As we expand our global footprint, his experience will help sharpen our focus on innovation, execution, and long-term value creation for organizations worldwide."

Lvin said he aims to build on the company's partnership with Microsoft and collaboration within the Hitachi Group as part of the "True One Hitachi" initiative. The company focuses on Microsoft's cloud, AI and data platforms for business applications.

"I am honored to lead Hitachi Solutions and build on its strong legacy of delivering meaningful business transformation," Lvin stated.

Hitachi Solutions operates globally across North America, Europe, India, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The company is part of Hitachi Ltd. (Tokyo: 6501), which includes more than 850 companies in its network.
