Hitachi Solutions appointed Roger Lvin as chief executive officer and president, effective immediately, the company announced.

Lvin brings more than 20 years of experience in technology consulting and organizational transformation. He previously served as founding CEO of Hitachi Digital Services, where he established the business and led its strategy and market positioning in digital transformation services.

Before joining Hitachi, Lvin held senior leadership positions at Cognizant, including leading its Digital Operations business. At Cognizant, he helped scale the division into what the company described as a multi-billion-dollar global organization.

Hitachi Solutions operates as a Microsoft-focused consulting firm, providing advisory and technology solutions across finance, sales and service transformation. The company is headquartered in Tokyo and operates teams across North America, Europe, India, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

"Roger's leadership and growth mindset come at a pivotal moment in our evolution," said Soichiro Ohara, chairman of Hitachi Solutions. "As we expand our global footprint, his experience will help sharpen our focus on innovation, execution, and long-term value creation for organisations worldwide."

Lvin stated he aims to build on the company's partnership with Microsoft and collaboration within the broader Hitachi group as part of what the company calls its "True One Hitachi" initiative.

Hitachi Solutions is part of Hitachi, Ltd. (Tokyo: 6501), which comprises more than 850 companies globally. The appointment comes as the company focuses on expanding its digital transformation services and Microsoft-based solutions for enterprise clients.
