Harbour BioMed appoints Dr. Adam Zong as president

Harbour BioMed (HKEX: 02142) announced the appointment of Dr. Adam Zong as president, effective immediately. Dr. Zong will be based in Shanghai and report directly to Dr. Jingsong Wang, the company's founder, chairman and chief executive officer.



In his new role, Dr. Zong will oversee the company's internal product pipeline development, advance strategic portfolio planning, and lead asset strategy and partnership initiatives. The biopharmaceutical company focuses on antibody therapeutics in immunology and oncology.



Dr. Zong brings over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. He previously served as principal consultant at Arc Nouvel Clinical Development Consulting and was the founding chief executive officer of Hengrui Therapeutics U.S. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at Merck & Co., Bristol Myers Squibb, Schering-Plough, and Pfizer, where he managed global franchises and led business development transactions.



"His extensive leadership experience across global biopharma organizations and his strong track record in portfolio strategy and business development will be valuable as we continue to advance our innovative pipeline," said Dr. Wang in a statement.



Dr. Zong holds a Ph.D. in Oncology and Virology from Rockefeller University and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.



The company operates through its proprietary antibody technology platform, Harbour Mice, which generates fully human monoclonal antibodies. Harbour BioMed trades on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under ticker 02142.
