Gray Media promotes Bob Kroeger to chief technology officer

Gray Media Inc. (NYSE: GTN) has promoted Bob Kroeger to chief technology officer, effective immediately, according to a company announcement. Kroeger previously served as chief information officer for both Gray Media and Raycom Media.
Kroeger replaces David Burke, who retired on July 31 and will continue advising the company through the end of the year. Gray's President and Co-CEO Pat LaPlatney said Kroeger brings extensive experience and industry respect to the role.
Kroeger has over 32 years of experience in television broadcast engineering and information technology. His career includes executive positions at major broadcast groups, with vice president and CIO roles at Gray Media and Raycom Media. He also held technology leadership positions at WSMV Nashville, WOIO/WUAB Cleveland, and WXIX Cincinnati.
During his career, Kroeger has managed multi-site IT and broadcast engineering operations and led enterprise technology initiatives including cloud migration, software rollouts, and infrastructure deployments. His expertise encompasses IT strategy, enterprise security, broadcast system management, datacenter operations, and emerging technologies. He holds degrees from Northern Kentucky University and the University of Cincinnati.
Gray Media is headquartered in Atlanta and owns television stations and digital assets serving 113 markets that reach approximately 37 percent of US television households. The company reports having 78 markets with top-rated television stations and 99 markets with first or second highest rated stations during 2024.
