Global Power Solutions Corp. (TSXV: PWER) (FSE: NJA) appointed Pete Medved as president and chief executive officer, effective immediately, according to a company statement.
Medved brings over 20 years of experience in enterprise technology sales and strategic account leadership. He has worked on digital infrastructure projects for organizations including Amazon, Microsoft, AT&T, NVIDIA, Chevron, and government entities such as the Government of Alberta and City of Vancouver.
The appointment follows the departure of Mervyn Pinto, who served as CEO, president and corporate secretary. Pinto will remain on the board of directors. Haneef Esmail has been appointed corporate secretary, while Peeyush Varshney resigned as a director.
"Pete brings deep enterprise sales experience and a strong track record of working with large organizations and government entities," said Esmail, who serves as CFO and director.
Medved stated he looks forward to expanding strategic partnerships as demand grows for power supporting artificial intelligence and high-performance computing infrastructure.
The company also granted 150,000 stock options to a director at an exercise price of 50 cents per share, exercisable for five years. The grant requires TSX Venture Exchange acceptance.
Global Power Solutions develops power and energy infrastructure technologies for industrial, commercial and data center applications.
