Glass House Brands board member George Raveling dies
Glass House Brands Inc. (CBOE CA: GLAS.A.U) announced the death of board member George Raveling, who served as a director since the cannabis company went public in 2021.
Raveling, inducted into both the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and College Basketball Hall of Fame for his coaching career, previously worked as Nike's Director of International Basketball before joining Glass House's board.
"George has been a thoughtful and trusted member of the Glass House Board since his appointment, and we will be forever grateful for his wisdom, wit, and dedication to the Company," said Kyle Kazan, co-founder, chairman and CEO of Glass House. "Personally, Coach was a mentor in the truest sense, and I am truly thankful for the thirty-nine years in which I have known and learned from him."
The Long Beach, California-based company described Raveling as bringing extensive experience in marketing and corporate governance to his board role during what it called a critical period of growth and development.
Glass House operates as a vertically-integrated cannabis company focused on the California market, with brands including Glass House Farms, PLUS Products, Allswell and Mama Sue Wellness. The company also operates retail dispensaries throughout California under names including The Farmacy, Natural Healing Center and The Pottery.
Raveling is survived by his wife Delores, son Mark, and daughter Litisha, according to the company's statement.
