GAIB raises $10 million in strategic round led by Amber Group
GAIB, a company that describes itself as an economic layer for AI and compute, announced a $10 million strategic investment led by Amber Group, with participation from other Asia-based investors. The San Francisco-based company stated the funds will be deployed into tokenized GPU assets on its platform.
Amber Group is a global digital asset company whose subsidiary Amber International trades on Nasdaq under the ticker NASDAQ: AMBR. The investment represents institutional capital flowing into AI infrastructure through blockchain-based financial systems.
"Compute is the new oil. As such, it should be accessible, productive, and tradable onchain," said Kony, CEO and co-founder of GAIB. "Amber's investment signals the beginning of institutional capital actively backing the economic backbone of the AI era."
Wayne Huo, CEO and Director of Amber International, said the investment reflects the company's belief in convergence between AI, blockchain and capital markets. "By powering the next wave of onchain compute infrastructure, we're excited to fuel growth with the capital needed to enhance the infrastructure and build an inclusive AI economy for all," Huo stated.
GAIB reported $28 million in deposits across its AID Alpha vaults in 2025 and has integrated with various decentralized finance protocols. The company offers what it calls AID, described as an AI synthetic dollar that allows investors to access AI-related yields. The platform also provides staking options through sAID for passive income generation.
The company states it provides capital solutions for cloud providers and data centers while offering lending, borrowing, and structured products across DeFi protocols.
