Everest names Elias Habayeb as new CFO effective May 2026

Everest Group Ltd. (NYSE: EG) announced the appointment of Elias Habayeb as Executive Vice President and Group Chief Financial Officer, effective on or about May 1, 2026.
Habayeb will succeed Mark Kociancic, who will retire after five years with the company following the first quarter reporting cycle. Kociancic will remain as a special advisor during the transition period.
The new CFO brings over 30 years of finance experience in insurance and financial services. He most recently served as CFO of Corebridge Financial (NYSE: CRBG), where he oversaw finance and actuarial operations.
Before Corebridge Financial, Habayeb held CFO positions at several American International Group divisions, including General Insurance and Life & Retirement. He led the initial public offering that established Corebridge Financial as an independent company.
Earlier in his career, Habayeb served as CFO of International Lease Finance Corporation, an AIG subsidiary, and worked as a partner in Deloitte & Touche's Capital Markets Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Syracuse University.
Habayeb will report to President and CEO Jim Williamson and join the company's Executive Leadership Team.
Everest Group is a global reinsurance and specialty insurance provider based in Hamilton, Bermuda. The company's stock is a component of the S&P 500 index.
