Eutelsat renews partnership with PCTV for Mexico video distribution

Eutelsat (Euronext Paris/London Stock Exchange: ETL) announced the renewal of its partnership with PCTV, a content aggregation and distribution company in Mexico and part of Megacable Holdings. The agreement continues video service distribution via the EUTELSAT 117 West A satellite.

PCTV will use the satellite to deliver national and international channels to cable headends across Mexico and the region. The company serves as a distributor in Mexico's pay-TV ecosystem, connecting programming to cable operators serving households throughout the market.

"Our continued partnership with PCTV reinforces the relevance of our 117° West video neighborhood in the Mexican market," said José Ignacio González-Núñez, SVP Americas, Video Business Unit at Eutelsat.

Jorge Alejandro Tanaka Orozco, General Director of PCTV, stated that the renewal allows the company to continue delivering content to cable operators across Mexico and the region through the EUTELSAT 117 West A platform.

The satellite serves as a distribution hub for television content in Mexico and Latin America. Eutelsat operates 31 geostationary satellites and a low Earth orbit constellation of more than 600 satellites following its 2023 combination with OneWeb. The company distributes approximately 6,300 television channels globally and employs more than 1,600 people across 75 countries.
