Empery Digital repurchases shares, adds bitcoin to treasury holdings
Empery Digital Inc. (NASDAQ: EMPD) repurchased 363,395 shares of common stock under its $100 million share repurchase program as of August 22, 2025. The company paid an average price of $7.39 per share, including fees and commissions, using cash from its balance sheet.
The repurchases represent the maximum number of shares permitted under applicable securities laws during that week. Following these transactions, approximately $97 million remains available for future repurchases under the current authorization.
The company acquired an additional 12.97 bitcoin for $1.5 million since its previous announcement on August 18, 2025. Empery Digital now holds 4,064.88 bitcoin, purchased for an aggregate price of approximately $478 million at an average cost of $117,549 per bitcoin.
Management stated its intention to continue allocating capital for share repurchases at prices below net asset value. The company has $25 million of available capacity to draw down and anticipates an additional $75 million in availability through an uncommitted borrowing facility.
Empery Digital adopted a bitcoin treasury strategy effective July 17, 2025. The company, formerly known as Volcon, was originally founded as an electric power sports vehicle manufacturer. Its power sports operations now operate under the Empery Mobility brand name.
