Edible Garden reports 22.9% revenue growth in first quarter

May 15, 2026 7:31 AM EDT

Edible Garden AG Incorporated (NASDAQ: EDBL, EDBLW) reported revenue of approximately $3.3 million for the three months ended March 31, 2026, compared to $2.7 million in the same period of 2025, according to a company press release.

The controlled environment agriculture company reported growth across multiple product categories. Cut herb sales increased approximately 46% year-over-year, driven by growth in existing accounts and new contributions from Kroger and Weis Markets. Vitamin and supplement sales rose approximately 27%, while condiment sales increased approximately 51%. International sales grew approximately 50%.

Operating expenses totaled $10.0 million for the quarter, compared to $5.6 million in the prior year period. The company attributed the $4.4 million increase primarily to higher cost of goods sold and depreciation expenses. Cost of goods sold rose due to increased sales and a shift toward cut herbs sourced from third-party growers. Depreciation expense increased $2.5 million, primarily due to accelerated depreciation of certain fixed assets related to the company's shift toward ready-to-drink nutrition manufacturing.

The company recorded a net loss of $3.7 million, compared to a net loss of $3.3 million in the first quarter of 2025. Net loss per common share was $(5.25), compared to $(24.74) in the prior year period.

Edible Garden received an income tax benefit of approximately $3.4 million, primarily related to a valuation allowance release connected to the sale of certain state tax benefits under New Jersey's Technology Business Tax Certificate Transfer Program.

The company continues to advance its Midwest ready-to-drink manufacturing platform, including progress on planned integration of Tetra Pak processing and packaging solutions. Edible Garden operates facilities in New Jersey, Michigan, and Iowa, and distributes products to over 6,000 retail locations.
