Uber Technologies Inc. (NYSE: UBER) and Dollar General Corporation (NYSE: DG) announced a partnership bringing more than 14,000 Dollar General and pOpshelf locations to the Uber Eats platform. The service launched August 8 and is expanding throughout the month.
Customers can order food, household essentials, and other items for on-demand or scheduled delivery through the Uber Eats app. The partnership covers both Dollar General and pOpshelf store locations nationwide.
"Our customers will enjoy even greater convenience through our Uber Eats partnership, accessing everything from food to essential household items, saving them valuable time and money," said Tony Rogers, Dollar General's Chief Marketing Officer.
To promote the launch, Uber Eats is offering 40% off orders of $20 or more from Dollar General and pOpshelf locations, up to $10 in savings, using the promotional code 40GENERAL. The offer expires September 30, 2025. Uber One members receive $0 delivery fees on eligible orders.
Customers can access the service by opening the Uber Eats app, navigating to the "Grocery" or "Convenience" category, and searching for Dollar General or pOpshelf. Orders can be tracked in real time through the app.
Hashim Amin, Head of Grocery & Retail at Uber, said the partnership helps Dollar General serve customers "in more dynamic and flexible ways" as retailers adapt to consumer expectations for convenience and speed.
The information is based on a joint press release from the companies.
