DeFi Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: DEFT) received a notification from Nasdaq on March 5, 2026, stating that the company's stock price fell below the required $1.00 minimum bid price for 30 consecutive business days as of March 4, 2026.
The financial technology company, which focuses on decentralized finance, now has 180 calendar days until September 1, 2026, to regain compliance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(2). To meet the requirement, the stock's closing bid price must remain at or above $1.00 for at least 10 consecutive business days.
If DeFi Technologies fails to regain compliance by the September deadline, the company may qualify for an additional 180-day period. This extension requires meeting continued listing requirements for market value of publicly held shares and other initial listing standards, excluding the bid price requirement. The company would also need to provide written notice of its intention to address the deficiency, potentially through a reverse stock split.
Should the company not qualify for the second compliance period or if Nasdaq determines the deficiency cannot be cured, the exchange will initiate delisting procedures. DeFi Technologies would have the option to appeal such a decision.
The notification does not immediately affect the company's listing status, and shares will continue trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the symbol "DEFT." The company stated it will monitor its stock price and consider available options to regain compliance, though it provided no assurance of success.
DeFi Technologies operates through several subsidiaries including Valour, which offers digital asset exchange-traded products, and Stillman Digital, a digital asset prime brokerage service. The company is also listed on CBOE Canada under the symbol DEFI.
