Crawford reorganizes into two divisions, names Hoberman U.S. CEO

Crawford & Company (NYSE: CRD-A and CRD-B) announced a restructuring that will divide its operations into two divisions effective January 1, 2026, according to a company statement.
The Atlanta-based claims management company will operate under U.S. Operations and International Operations divisions. Michael Hoberman has been promoted to CEO of U.S. Operations, reporting to interim President and CEO Bruce Swain. Canada will transition from U.S. Operations to International Operations under CEO Andrew Bart.
Pat Van Bakel was named chief commercial and strategy officer in a global role reporting to Swain. Van Bakel will lead strategy development and manage relationships with markets and major clients.
The company also announced three leadership appointments within U.S. Operations, all reporting to Hoberman. Paul Kottler was named president of U.S. Loss Adjusting, overseeing Field Operations, Global Technical Services and edjuster U.S. Lance Malcolm becomes president of U.S. Network Solutions, leading Contractor Connection and Catastrophe Services. Jeffrey Sickles was appointed president of Crawford TPA: Broadspire.
"By aligning our businesses under two global divisions and elevating proven leaders, we are clarifying accountability, strengthening collaboration across geographies and positioning Crawford to move at the speed our markets demand," Swain said.
Crawford provides claims management and outsourcing solutions to insurance companies and self-insured entities through a network serving clients in more than 70 countries. The company's two stock classes are substantially identical except for voting rights on Class B shares and protections for non-voting Class A shares.
