CGI Inc. (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) received a 10-year contract from the State of New Jersey to continue developing and supporting its State Integrated Recovery Operations Management Systems (SIROMS), according to a company statement.

The technology services firm has managed the disaster recovery platform for more than a decade, initially established following Superstorm Sandy. The system has distributed over $7.2 billion in recovery funds and serves as New Jersey's primary tool for managing natural disaster recovery operations.

"Our partnership with CGI has been instrumental in helping New Jersey respond effectively to major disasters and prepare for those yet to come," said Parth Sampath, State Contract Manager at the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.

As of May 2025, the state had disbursed more than $7 billion in recovery funds through the platform. The system has tracked over 10,000 individual reports and supported quarterly progress submissions to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development over 48 quarters.

The SIROMS platform incorporates features from other jurisdictions, including Puerto Rico's public-facing disaster-funding transparency portal. New Jersey shares innovations developed locally with other state and local governments using similar systems.

CGI, founded in 1976, employs 93,000 consultants and professionals globally. The company reported fiscal 2024 revenue of CA$14.68 billion. The renewed contract extends CGI's role in supporting New Jersey's disaster preparedness and recovery operations through 2035.
