CGI wins £250 million contract with UK tax authority
CGI Inc. (TSX: GIB.A, NYSE: GIB) secured a contract worth up to £250 million over five years with His Majesty's Revenue and Customs to provide enterprise integration services, the company announced.
The contract includes an initial three-year term with two optional one-year extensions. CGI will help operate and maintain HMRC's integration services, which include interfaces, APIs, and messaging services that enable communication across the tax authority's IT systems.
Under the agreement, CGI will work with HMRC's internal teams to manage existing integration capabilities that form part of the UK's Critical National Infrastructure. The company will also deliver new integrations to support digital transformation programs outlined in HMRC's Transformation Roadmap.
HMRC awarded the contract through Lot 3 of the Crown Commercial Service DALAS framework. The framework was developed jointly by CCS and HMRC to provide a structure for modernizing IT application services and transforming legacy systems.
"We work with HMRC to support the next phase of their digital transformation, strengthening the critical systems that underpin essential public services across the UK," said Kevin O'Neill, Senior Vice-President and Business Leader for Government and Justice at CGI in the UK.
CGI, founded in 1976, operates as an IT and business consulting services company with 94,000 consultants and professionals globally. The company reported revenue of CA$15.91 billion for fiscal 2025.
The information is based on a company press release.
