Investing.com -- Building products manufacturers are implementing price increases across decking, railing, and exterior products in response to rising raw material costs.
James Hardie Industries (NYSE: JHX) announced price increases ranging from 4% to 15% for its decking, railing, and AZEK Exteriors products, effective May 28. TimberTech Decking will see a 4% increase, while TimberTech Railing will rise 6%. Trim, sheet, molding, siding, and specialty products will increase 5%, and TimberTech Aluminum Framing will see the largest increase of 12% to 14%. The company stated the increases are in direct response to elevated raw material costs associated with global conflict.
James Hardie also announced price increases for its DREAM, Milled Artisan, and Artisan Trim products effective June 29, citing ongoing inflationary cost pressures. The company did not provide specific percentage increases for these products.
Trex Company (NYSE: TREX) announced increases for all aluminum railing products in its Select and Signature product lines effective June 1. The company did not provide specific percentage amounts. The announcement applies only to aluminum products, as the company has not raised prices for its composite decking and railing products, which use approximately 95% recycled material.
Westlake Royal (NYSE: WLK) announced price increases of 6% to 9% on all trim and molding products in its Kleer product line, effective May 15.
