Bridger Aerospace buys two Super Scoopers and four Air Attack aircraft

Bridger Aerospace Group Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: BAER) completed the purchase of two Canadair CL-215T amphibious aircraft and four Air Attack aircraft, expanding its fleet ahead of the 2026 fire season.

The company acquired the two Super Scooper aircraft from MAB Funding LLC for $50 million, increasing its Super Scooper fleet from six to eight aircraft. The purchase was funded through the company's $210 million Senior Secured Term Loan Facility that closed in October.

Bridger also added four Air Attack aircraft to its fleet in the fourth quarter, two of which had previously been leased and operated under contract in 2025. The Air Attack aircraft acquisition was funded using cash and an initial draw on the company's credit facility.

"The addition of these aircraft positions Bridger to better fulfill our mission to protect lives, property, and the environment in 2026," said Sam Davis, chief executive officer.

With the additions, Bridger operates eight Super Scoopers and maintains a Light Fixed Wing Air Attack and Surveillance fleet of 11 aircraft. The company states it operates more Super Scoopers than any other private operator worldwide.

The Belgrade, Montana-based company provides aerial firefighting and wildfire management services to federal and state government agencies, including the United States Forest Service. Venable LLP provided U.S. legal advice and Watson Farley Williams provided Spanish legal advice for the Super Scooper transaction.
