The funds operate under managed distribution plans designed to provide level monthly distributions of income, capital gains and return of capital. The distribution sources vary significantly among funds. BlackRock Enhanced International Dividend Trust's distribution consists entirely of long-term capital gains, while BlackRock Technology and Private Equity Term Trust (NYSE: BTX) distributes entirely from return of capital.

Several funds show substantial portions of their distributions coming from return of capital for the fiscal year, including BlackRock ESG Capital Allocation Term Trust at 93% and BlackRock Capital Allocation Term Trust at 90%.

The company noted that distribution amounts are estimates provided for regulatory purposes and actual tax reporting amounts may differ based on investment experience during the remainder of the fiscal year. Final tax information will be provided via Form 1099-DIV.
