Beyond Oil names Michael Nemirow president of North America
Beyond Oil Ltd. (CSE: BOIL) (OTCQB: BEOLF) appointed Michael Nemirow as president of North America, the food-tech company announced. Nemirow will manage Beyond Oil USA Inc., the company's wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, and oversee all North American operations.
The appointment reflects Beyond Oil's focus on the U.S. as a strategic growth market. Nemirow joined Beyond Oil as a strategic advisor in early 2024 and has been involved in developing the company's North American market strategy, building sales teams, launching pilot programs with foodservice brands, and securing distributor partnerships.
In his new role, Nemirow will oversee commercial activities including sales, customer success, national rollouts, distributor partnerships, and supply chain operations. He previously served as CEO of Greenstar Plant Products Inc., which was sold to a public U.S. company in 2021. He also held senior roles at MDA Space, where he led the creation of an oil and gas and mining business unit.
"We have made U.S. market penetration one of our top strategic priorities," said Jonathan Or, CEO of Beyond Oil. "Today, Beyond Oil is already serving paying customers across the U.S., both directly and through distributors."
Beyond Oil develops technology that reduces harmful compounds in frying oil used in restaurants, hotels, and other foodservice operations. The company's patented technology has regulatory clearances from the FDA and Health Canada.
The company also granted 840,000 stock options to directors, officers, employees, and consultants at C$2.90 per share for a 10-year period, along with 300,000 restricted stock units to an employee, according to the press release statement.
