AnorTech expands anorthosite project footprint in Greenland

AnorTech Inc. (TSX Venture: ANOR; OTC: ANORF) reported results from its 2025 field program at the Gronne Bjerg anorthosite project in Greenland, expanding the mapped footprint of high-purity aluminum-bearing rock deposits.

The company's exploration work identified a 3.2-kilometer surface extension of anorthosite, bringing the total mapped area to 4.2 kilometers by 2.3 kilometers. The deposit extends from sea level to 1,200 meters elevation.

Analysis of 30 rock samples by ALS Ireland showed average compositions of 31.9% aluminum oxide, 0.94% iron oxide, 1.8% sodium oxide, 16.7% calcium oxide and 47.2% silicon dioxide. The company stated the material could serve as feedstock for E-glass production, aluminum applications and cement manufacturing.

WSP Denmark completed environmental baseline studies covering marine, terrestrial and wildlife surveys as part of preparations for an environmental impact assessment. AnorTech plans to submit an exploitation license application in 2026.

Initial bathymetry studies identified a potential deep-water port site several hundred meters from the mining area. The proximity could reduce transportation costs and environmental impact, according to the company.

"Our 2025 field program has continued to demonstrate the scale, continuity, and exceptionally low impurity content of the Gronne Bjerg anorthosite complex," said President Jim Cambon.

AnorTech holds a 100% interest in the Gronne Bjerg project, located 80 kilometers from Nuuk, Greenland's capital. The company filed a U.S. provisional patent in February 2025 for its alumina processing technology and shipped bulk samples to Ontario for pilot plant testing.

The company reported working capital of $2.1 million and maintains a 5% carried interest in the Sarfartoq rare earth project sold to Neo Performance Materials in 2022.
