Anaergia Inc. (TSX: ANRG) (OTCQX: ANRGF) announced its subsidiary Anaergia S.r.l. has signed a contract with PreZero International to supply equipment for upgrading an anaerobic digestion facility in Bizkaia, Spain, near Bilbao.

The upgraded facility will process up to 50,000 tons per year of source-separated organics and convert them into biomethane through anaerobic digestion. Anaergia will provide its CleanREX and GritREX systems for the project. The company expects to recognize revenues of C$7.6 million under the contract.

PreZero International serves as the general contractor for the materials recycling facility revamp. The company is part of The Schwarz Group, which includes retail companies Kaufland and Lidl.

"The solutions provided by Anaergia will help make the Bizkaia facility to become one of the most efficient and sustainable plants in Spain to convert source-separated organics into biomethane," said Fernando Fernández, Head of Project Execution at PreZero International.

Assaf Onn, CEO of Anaergia, stated this marks the company's first source-separated organics plant in Spain. Anaergia has previously supplied systems for similar facilities in other locations.

The information is based on a press release statement from Anaergia Inc.
