Almonty names Brian Fox as chief financial officer

July 29, 2025 7:01 AM EDT

Almonty Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: ALM) (TSX: AII) (ASX: AII) appointed Brian Fox as chief financial officer, effective August 25, 2025, according to a company statement. Fox will succeed Mark Gelmon, who has served as CFO since 2017.

Fox most recently served as chief financial and operating officer at CBIZ Marks Paneth, an accounting and advisory firm. His previous experience includes leadership roles at Loureiro Engineering and United Subcontractors, as well as senior audit work at Arthur Andersen. He holds a master's degree in management from Harvard University and a bachelor of science in accounting from the University of Connecticut.

Gelmon joined Almonty in 2015 through the company's acquisition of Woulfe Mining Corp. and became CFO in 2017. He will remain with the company as a financial consultant, according to the statement.

"Brian brings exactly the type of disciplined execution and institutional-grade financial leadership we need as we scale operations and align with U.S. capital markets," said Lewis Black, chief executive officer of Almonty.

The Toronto-based company produces tungsten and describes itself as a supplier to defense and technology sectors. The appointment comes as Almonty pursues what it calls a U.S. redomiciling strategy following a $90 million public offering and Nasdaq listing.
