Ainos Inc. (NASDAQ: AIMD) announced the launch of its AI Nose device, a commercial scent detection system designed for industrial and healthcare applications. The device combines multi-sensor arrays with machine learning algorithms to detect and analyze odors.

The portable, cloud-connected device targets semiconductor manufacturing, smart factories, hospital infection control, and environmental monitoring markets. Ainos offers the technology through a subscription service model called SmellTech-as-a-Service, which provides software updates, AI model enhancements, and data analytics.

The company stated that initial deployments are scheduled for semiconductor manufacturing facilities as part of its 90-day business execution plan. The device aims to detect volatile organic compounds and complex odor patterns using what the company describes as its patented architecture.

"AI Nose represents a transformational leap for Ainos and for the field of AI-driven sensing," said Eddy Tsai, Chairman and CEO of Ainos. "By combining our patented architecture with advanced machine learning models, we are delivering an intelligent sensing platform that not only meets today's industrial and healthcare challenges but also lays the foundation for entirely new markets."

The San Diego-based company will demonstrate the AI Nose device at Automation Taipei 2025 in Taiwan from August 20-23, in partnership with Kenmec Mechanical Engineering and ugo Inc.

Ainos operates as both an AI and biotech company, developing scent detection technology alongside VELDONA, an oral interferon treatment for rare, autoimmune, and infectious diseases. The company's AI Nose platform converts scent data into what it calls "Smell ID," a digital format for machine processing.
