Adtalem Global Education changes name to Covista, stock ticker to CVSA

February 5, 2026 5:48 AM EST

Adtalem Global Education (NYSE: ATGE) announced it will change its corporate name to Covista and begin trading under the ticker symbol CVSA on the New York Stock Exchange starting February 24, 2026.

The company said the rebrand reflects its transformation over four years to focus on healthcare education. Covista operates five accredited institutions serving more than 97,000 students and has 385,000 alumni.

The company released research through its Covista Care Capacity Monitor, conducted with Gallup, surveying over 1,300 clinicians and 160 healthcare executives. The research found more than 702,000 healthcare job vacancies are posted monthly while only 306,000 unemployed healthcare workers exist to fill them.

According to the research, 76% of clinicians and 73% of healthcare executives reported that staffing shortages affect their ability to deliver high-quality care. Half of executives said shortages have reduced their capacity to serve patients.

Covista graduates approximately 24,000 healthcare professionals annually, including 10% of America's nurses, according to company data. The company said it educates more medical doctors than any MD-granting school in the U.S.

The company will host an investor day on February 24 to present its strategy for expanding capacity to address healthcare workforce needs. Chief Executive Steve Beard said the event will outline investment priorities and growth targets.

Covista also launched "Covista Open Doors," a multi-year initiative including partnerships with nonprofit NAF for healthcare career exploration, a Student Emergency Care Fund for financial assistance, and investments in mental health support for healthcare workers through partnerships with Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes' Foundation and The Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare.

The information was provided in a company press release.
