Aclarion partners with Source Healthcare to expand Nociscan in Los Angeles

Aclarion Inc. (NASDAQ: ACON, ACONW) announced an agreement with Source Healthcare, an orthopedic and regenerative health clinic in Los Angeles, to provide access to its Nociscan diagnostic technology.

The partnership brings Nociscan to Source Healthcare's multidisciplinary team led by interventional pain management specialist Timothy T. Davis, MD. The collaboration aims to generate real-world evidence comparing Nociscan with anesthetic discography, a diagnostic spinal injection procedure used to identify specific spinal discs causing chronic pain.

Nociscan is a non-invasive diagnostic platform that measures pain and structural integrity biomarkers in spinal discs through magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The technology provides an alternative to anesthetic discography by objectively evaluating biomarkers without requiring spinal injections.

"We are excited to gain access to Nociscan, a MR Spectroscopy test that objectively evaluates various pain and structural integrity biomarkers non-invasively, something not available from MRI or discography," said Davis in a statement.

The agreement supports Aclarion's expansion strategy while building clinical data for its technology. Ryan Bond, Chief Strategy Officer of Aclarion, described this as the company's first opportunity to establish evidence within the pain management field, following previous studies in the spinal fusion market.

Aclarion's Nociscan platform uses magnetic resonance spectroscopy data from MRI machines to quantify chemical biomarkers associated with disc pain. The company states that when all Nociscan-positive discs are treated, the technology demonstrates a 97% surgical success rate.

The Colorado-based healthcare technology company focuses on helping physicians identify the location of chronic low back pain through biomarkers and proprietary algorithms.
