January 13, 2026 8:15 AM EST

U.S. private employers added an average of 11,750 jobs per week for the four weeks ending December 20, 2025, according to ADP's NER Pulse weekly employment update released January 13, 2026.

The job growth pace increased from the prior week's four-week moving average of 11,000 jobs. ADP (NASDAQ: ADP) noted these preliminary figures could change as additional data becomes available.

The NER Pulse data shows fluctuating employment patterns over recent months. The week ending November 29, 2025 recorded the period's peak at 13,250 jobs, while November 8, 2025 marked the lowest point with a decline of 11,750 jobs.

ADP's weekly employment estimate uses seasonally adjusted data with a two-week reporting lag. The company describes the metric as based on high-frequency payroll processing information from its client base.

The NER Pulse publishes every Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. ET, except during weeks when ADP releases its monthly National Employment Report. The next NER Pulse release is scheduled for January 20, 2026.

ADP Research produces the employment data in collaboration with Stanford Digital Economy Lab. The company processes payroll for more than 1.1 million clients across 140 countries, according to the press release.
