60 Degrees Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: SXTP) announced a partnership with Runway Health to provide international travelers direct access to its malaria prevention drug ARAKODA through a telehealth platform.

The partnership, which begins April 2, 2026, will allow eligible users to access physician-led online consultations before traveling to malaria-endemic regions and receive home delivery of prescribed medications before departure, according to a company statement.

ARAKODA (tafenoquine) is approved by the FDA for malaria prevention and is taken as a once-weekly prescription medication. The drug received FDA approval in 2018 and is currently available in the United States and Australia through pharmaceutical wholesaler networks.

Runway Health operates a direct-to-patient telehealth platform that enables adults to consult with healthcare providers online before traveling to regions where certain illnesses may be prevalent.

The medication carries several contraindications, including use in patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency or unknown G6PD status, breastfeeding women when the infant is G6PD deficient, patients with a history of psychotic disorders, and those with known hypersensitivity to tafenoquine.

Common adverse reactions include headache, dizziness, back pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, increased alanine aminotransferase, motion sickness, insomnia, depression, abnormal dreams, and anxiety.

60 Degrees Pharmaceuticals, founded in 2010, specializes in developing medicines for vector-borne diseases and is headquartered in Washington, D.C., with a subsidiary in Australia.
