Oppenheimer analyst Colin W Rusch raised the price target on American Superconductor (NASDAQ: AMSC) to $64.00 (from $45.00) while maintaining a Outperform rating.
The analyst commented: "With American Superconductor delivering strong beat-and-raise results in F1Q25 and demonstrating operating leverage potential, we are encouraged by customer activity, improving performance of combined solutions, and potential for accelerated growth. We note the company achieved JunQ25 results operating a single manufacturing shift and that its optimization of the product portfolio is outperforming expectations in the field. Both dynamics are setting up to drive improved price and margin. Tweaking revenue, GM, and OpEx estimates higher, we believe AMSC continues to pursue its acquisition strategy which could result in a step-change higher in financials. Given strong underlying fundamentals for power quality solutions driven by regionalization and aging infrastructure with potential for accelerating military sales, we raise our PT to $64 (from $45), increasing our target multiple."
