Needham & Company analyst Laura Martin reiterated a Hold rating on Facebook (NASDAQ: FB). During June of 2019, the DOJ took jurisdiction of AAPL and GOOGL, while the FTC took jurisdiction of FB and AMZN. This is bad luck for FB, as the FTC has two regulatory duties, whereas the DOJ’s focus is much narrower.
Martin believes that even if FB can continue to grow users and revenue, its margins will fall and headline risks will rise steadily through the Nov 2020 US election.
