H.C. Wainwright analyst Heiko Ihle reiterated a Buy rating and $4.25 price target on Western Copper and Gold (NYSE: WRN).
The analyst commented: "On August 12, Western Copper and Gold Corporation provided a project update that laid out the meaningful and ongoing progress at its site. Most notably, the company recently submitted an updated and improved schedule for submission of its Environmental and Socio-Economic Effects (ESE) Statement to the Yukon ESE Assessment Board for the Casino Mine Project. Looking ahead, we expect the ESE Statement to serve as the foundation for the firm’s assessment application for the panel review. Based on its most recent schedule, management anticipates submitting the ESE Statement in early 3Q25, following a detailed review of guidelines in 4Q23, along with improved planning and discussions with First Nations. Reiterate Buy rating and $4.25 PT."
