H.C. Wainwright analyst Ed Arce reiterated a Buy rating and $27.00 price target on Enanta Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ENTA).
The analyst commented: "On September 26, Enanta announced positive top-line results from a Phase 2a human challenge study of EDP-323, its once-daily oral RSV candidate that selectively targets the RSV L-protein, in healthy adults infected with RSV. EDP-323 showed a rapid and sustained antiviral effect in the primary efficacy endpoint of AUC for viral load in the ITT-I population for both dosing groups compared to placebo that was highly statistically significant (p<0.0001 for both groups). With EDP-323's anti-viral capability validated by this challenge study, we look for the RSVPEDs study's top-line data readout with Enanta's N-protein inhibitor lead RSV program zelicapavir (formerly EDP-938) with the pediatric population in 4Q24 as a crucial milestone for Enanta, given that positive data could sufficiently support zelicapavir's entry into a registrational Phase 3 program. Affirm Buy."
