H.C. Wainwright Reiterates Buy Rating on Barinthus Biotherapeutics (BRNS)

H.C. Wainwright analyst Yi Chen reiterated a Buy rating and $3.00 price target on Barinthus Biotherapeutics (NASDAQ: BRNS).

The analyst commented: "Yesterday, Barinthus Biotherapeutics and Clywedog Therapeutics (a private company) announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement to combine in an all-stock transaction. The combined company would be called Clywedog Therapeutics, and it is expected to trade on NASDAQ under the new ticker symbol CLYD. The combined company would be funded by existing cash and additional investments by OrbiMed and Torrey Pines Investment, with an estimated cash runway to end-2027. The transaction is expected to close in 1H26. Under the agreement, shareholders of Barinthus would receive one share of common stock of CLYD for each ADS or ordinary share owned. Upon completion, shareholders of Barinthus are expected to own approximately 34% of CLYD. Bill Enright, Chief Executive Officer of Barinthus, would serve as Chief Executive Officer of the combined company. Of note, the combined company would have three assets for the treatment of metabolic and autoimmune diseases, including CLY-101 for T2D and T1D, CLY-201 for T1D, and VTP-1000 for celiac disease. Following the announcement of the merger, we reiterate our Buy rating and $3 PT."
