MasterCard (MA) Appoints Erin Elofson as Division President, Canada

MasterCard (NYSE: MA) has appointed Erin Elofson as Division President, Canada, effective March 31st. A proven leader with deep experience in technology, media, and financial services, Erin will guide Mastercard’s Canadian business with a focus on innovation, strategic growth, and strengthening customer relationships. She will report to Linda Kirkpatrick, President, Americas and join the Americas leadership team.

“Canada is one of Mastercard’s largest and strategically important markets, and Erin’s leadership will help us build on existing strong momentum,” said Linda Kirkpatrick, President, Americas. “Erin’s track record of scaling businesses, fostering innovation, and putting customers at the center makes her an excellent fit to lead our next phase of growth in Canada.”

Elofson brings more than two decades of leadership experience in high-growth technology companies. Most recently, she was Head of Canada & APAC at Pinterest, where she built and led operations across multiple markets, aggressively growing the Canadian business. Before that, she held senior roles at Meta and Microsoft, working closely with major brands and industry partners to expand digital and financial solutions.

Elofson succeeds Balinder Ahluwalia, who has served as interim Division President, Canada since predecessor Sasha Krstic transitioned to lead Mastercard’s integration of cybersecurity acquisition, Recorded Future.
