Textron (NYSE: TXT) is initiated to open higher Wednesday following reports overnight from Reuters that the company is conducting a strategic review that could involve spinning off some of its parts.
Activist investor Ralph Whitworth's Relational Investors has been targeting the company as one that could use a change in strategy, although it is unclear if he has acquired a stake at this time.
