Icahn Discloses 5% Stake in Motorola (MOT)

In a 13D filing on Motorola (NYSE: MOT) after the close, Carl Icahn disclosed a 5% stake (114,289,100 shares) in the company.
Icahn recently nominated Frank Biondi, Jr., William R. Hambrecht, Lionel C. Kimerling and Keith Meister for election as directors at the 2008 annual meeting of stockholders of Motorola.
Ichan recently said said he was "pleased" with news the company would explore a realignment, including the separation of Mobile Devices from its other businesses, but said he would continue to work toward board representation.
