IMAX (IMAX) Sees Strength on 13 Theater Deal with Rave; Sets Record for Most Signings in One Year

Shares of IMAX (Nasdaq: IMAX) are making some gains today as the company announced that they have signed a 13 theater deal with Rave Motion Pictures. The move will expand the IMAX presence to moviegoers in key mid-sized markets in Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
The announcement brings total signings for 2010 to 153, a record number, and an over 330% increase from the 35 signed for in 2009.
Shares of the company are up 6.48% today, trading at an intraday high of $16.11.
